• QUALIFIED: You must have an Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) accredited Degree in Biomedical Science and have UK HCPC registration.

• STUDENT: 5x GCSEs grade A-C/9-4 including Maths, English Language and a Science subject.

  Or other examination board equivalent

  Plus 120 UCAS points including Biology or Human Biology.

All applicants must attend the specialist Army Biomedical Science Insight Event.

Step 1
Basic Military Training, this course teaches you the fundamental basics of being a soldier, covering everything from administration in field, weapon handling to fitness.

Step 2
You start studying for a BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science at the Royal College of Defence Medicine in Birmingham and Aston University.

Earn £25,200 during training. When your training is finished, and you join your Unit, pay will rise to £39,974.

All Biomedical Scientists can gain postgraduate qualifications throughout their career. You may also have the opportunity to study Biomedical Science at MSc level.
