Work life balance

Once you’ve finished your training and are posted to your new unit, your work life balance will be like civilian life. You’ll usually work 8am – 5pm, with breaks and time built in for sport and gym – so you don’t need to do that in your own time if you don’t want to.

If you’re not on operations or duty, your evenings and weekends are your own – you’re free to come and go as you like. Lots of people travel back to their friends and family at home at the weekends, but you’ll also find that lots of people stick around, so there’s always someone to hang out with.

Every day is different and it is what you make it. You meet so many different people from every walk of life and make life long friends. It's a great salary and great work life balance.
